1. Pass Your Test First Go!
Our people know everything there is to know about learning to drive, as well as the test itself. We’ll use our extensive knowledge to make sure you are fully prepared for the many scenarios that could crop up during your test. Undergoing one of our mock tests using official VicRoads routes will give you further peace of mind.
With READY 2 GO, students will learn about everything from road rules to parking, defensive driving, hazard perception, vehicle control and night driving.55 Throughout your journey with us we’ll offer regular updates on your progress, alongside honest feedback and constructive advice to improve your driving technique.
2. An Affordable Price
We offer a combination of one-hour driving lessons and packages, all at realistic and affordable prices. Each single one-hour lesson is priced at $70. Alternatively, you can view our pricing page here or call us to discuss our range of packages and highly competitive test fees.
At READY 2 GO, we understand that learning to drive can be an expensive undertaking, so let’s work together to build a program that suits your budget.
3. Personalised Lessons
No matter what your age or level of experience, READY 2 GO can help place you in the strongest position to pass your driving test with flying colours! We work with everyone from teenagers and older first-timers, to licence holders looking to refresh or enhance their skills. We are known across the region for developing tailored lesson plans that meet the distinct needs and experience of each individual learner.
4. Expert Supervision
The expert supervision offered by the fully accredited instructors at READY 2 GO is second to none. We are passionate about teaching our learners all there is to know about driving and the road. We’ll pull out all the stops to help convert your Ls to Ps in record time, or enhance your current technique. We won’t simply teach you to pass your test, but will work on your competency and leave you with enduring skills that will help keep you and others safe on the road.
5. Automatic and manual vehicles
Automatic or manual? It’s a question every new driver has to ask themselves. Learners will need to decide which option they feel most comfortable with, or could consider a combined approach that incorporates both.
Our cars are all clean and comfortable, and are fitted with an extra set of controls on the passenger’s side, to guarantee the safety of learner and instructor.
In Victoria, learners below the age of 21 are required to complete a minimum 120 hours of supervised driving lessons before they are permitted to take their test. While supervision from family and friends can help learners to reach this figure more quickly and affordably, this is not usually the best approach to passing a test or to becoming a confident and safe driver.
6. Over 100 Successful Students!
With an enviable pass rate, READY 2 GO is incredibly proud that, since 2012, we have helped over 100 students successfully obtain their licences.
While we are primarily available from Monday to Saturday, between 7am and 7pm, night-time driving lessons can also be arranged to help students master the specific challenges associated with driving in the dark.

What to expect from a driving test in Seaford?
During your test you will need to ensure you demonstrate a safe approach to driving in various traffic conditions. The testing officer will assess your driving based on a number of factors, including:
- Observation
- Control
- Choice of speed
- Signal use
- Following distance
- Stop position
- Lateral position
- Parking
Common Errors We Help You Avoid During a Driving Test
During your test, the officer will be keeping an eye out for what are known as critical errors and immediate termination errors.
Critical errors arise when you make a decision during your test with the potential to create an unsafe situation, but that is not considered to pose an immediate threat. A student must not make more than two critical errors throughout the course of the test.
Some examples of a critical error might include:
- driving too slowly
- blocking a pedestrian from crossing
- a failure to look or signal, as long as pedestrians or other road users are not put in danger
- stalling the vehicle
- allowing a wheel to make contact with the kerb when parking
- a failure to stop completely at a stop sign, as long as pedestrians or other road users are not put in danger
Where immediate termination errors occur you will be deemed immediately unsuccessful and your test will be terminated. These usually only happen if your driving puts yourself or other road users and pedestrians at risk.
Some examples of an immediate termination error might include:
- failure to signal, give way or check for cars and pedestrians, resulting in another road user having to take action to avoid a collision
- mounting the kerb while driving
- collision with another vehicle
- stopping the car in a dangerous place
- driving through a stop sign or red traffic light
- exceeding the speed limit by any amount for more than five seconds, by 5 km/h or more, or by any amount when driving in a school speed limit area
- failure to listen and respond appropriately to a direction from the officer conducting your test, or the police
- making a decision that results in your testing officer having to provide support

Frequently Asked Questions
Hidden First Field
Is there a pick-up & drop-off option?
Yes. Pick Up & Drop Off is available at Ready 2 Go. For your convenience, simply tell us where you would like to be picked up and dropped off, and we’ll make sure it happens.
Which VicRoads Centres do you test at?
Colin conducts tests at the Dromana, Frankston, Heatherton, and Dandenong VicRoads Centres.
I am a new learner. How many lessons do I need?
This can vary slightly, depending on the ability and aptitude of the learner. For somebody who has never driven before, we estimate it will take somewhere in the region of 16 to 20 lessons to get you up to test standard. If you already have some driving experience under your belt (for instance if you’ve been supervised by a family member or friend) you will probably require somewhere between eight and 12 lessons.
Can I use my own car?
The short answer is yes. Ideally you will opt to use a READY 2 GO car, as they are fitted with dual controls for added safety. However, if you have a strong reason for wanting to learn in your own vehicle, talk to us about it and we’ll consider what is possible. It’s probably worth noting that even if you do choose to use your own vehicle, the price of your lessons will remain the same.
